The Delaware County Office for the Aging received notification from the Roxbury Arts Group last month that they will be receiving a small grant for the 4C Camp for Adults planned for this summer. The grant, for at least $1,325, will cover artists’ fees and related expenses. In a letter from Community Arts Funding Coordinator, Ann Epner, it was stated that “the panel thought this was a strong application, presenting a new and appealing program” The 4C Camp for Adults will run from 8/28/09-8/30/09 and will be held at 4H Camp Shankitunk near Delancey. The camp will be open to both day and overnight campers and will have a variety of programs and activities that, according to OFA Director Tom Briggs, is guaranteed to be a lot of fun and will lead to many new friendships. “We have a web site established and will be posting additional information as time draws nearer,” stated Briggs, “and this grant will be the icing on the cake for what promises to be a must participate event.”
